Managed Website Service Terms
These Terms govern the provision of managed website services by LaunchPad Local (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“the client”, “you”).
1. Service Overview
We provide a managed website service, not a one-off website build.
This means we design, build, host, and support your website as an ongoing service, ensuring it remains live, functional, and maintained without you needing to manage the technical aspects yourself.
2. What’s Included
The managed website service includes:
• Website build and launch
• Hosting, security, and uptime
• Online booking or enquiry setup (where applicable)
• Domain setup and handling (existing domain or one provided if needed)
• Ongoing website support
Anything not listed above is not included unless explicitly agreed in writing.
3. Term Length
The service is provided on a 12-month minimum term. • The term begins on the date of the initial payment. • Monthly payments continue for the full term unless an early buyout is completed in accordance with Section 6.
4. Pricing & Payments
• A £500 one-off setup fee is payable upfront. • A £100 monthly fee is charged for the managed service. • Monthly payments are billed automatically. Once the website build has started, the setup fee is non-refundable. If a payment fails, we reserve the right to suspend or remove the website until payment is brought up to date.
5. Website Ownership
The website is provided as part of a managed service. Ownership of the website transfers to you only when: • the full 12-month term has been completed, or • the early buyout fee has been paid in full. Until one of these conditions is met, the website remains part of the managed service.
6. Early Buyout Option
You may end the service early by completing a £1,000 website buyout. If the buyout is paid in full:
• You retain the website
• Any domain eligible for transfer will be transferred to you
• Our hosting, management, and support end. The buyout must be paid before any website or domain transfer takes place. If the service ends without completing the term or buyout, the website will be taken offline.
7. Domain Ownership, Licensing & Transfer
Domains used as part of the service fall into one of the following categories.
7.1 Client-Owned Domains
If you already own a domain:
• Ownership remains with you at all times.
• We will connect and manage the domain as part of the service.
• We do not acquire any ownership or rights over your domain.
7.2 Domains Registered on Your Behalf
In some cases, we may register and pay for a domain on your behalf (for example, covering an annual registrar fee). In these cases:
• The domain is licensed to you for use while the service is active.
• We may act as the registered holder or administrator for technical or administrative purposes.
• Ownership does not transfer automatically. You may take ownership of the domain at any time by:
• reimbursing the domain registration cost, and • having the domain transferred into a registrar account under your control. Once transferred, you become responsible for all future renewals and fees.
7.3 Domains Owned by Us
In some cases, a domain may be owned outright by us. For domains owned by us:
• Use of the domain is licensed to you only while the service is active.
• Ownership does not transfer automatically.
• We retain full ownership rights unless ownership is explicitly transferred. Ownership of a domain owned by us transfers to you only if:
• the full 12-month term is completed, or
• the £1,000 early buyout is paid, or
• the domain is purchased separately by you at an agreed price. If none of the above occur, the domain licence ends when the service ends, and the domain may be retained, reassigned, or sold by us.
8. Changes & Revisions
Minor updates may be provided at our discretion. The following are not included unless agreed separately:
• Redesigns
• New pages
• Structural changes
• Additional features. We may quote separately for additional work if requested.
9. Cancellation, Suspension & Removal
If payments are missed or these Terms are breached, we reserve the right to suspend or remove the website. If the service is cancelled without completing the term or early buyout, the website will be taken offline and any licensed domains may no longer be available.
10. Liability & Guarantees
• We do not guarantee specific sales, bookings, or revenue outcomes.
• We are not responsible for third-party services such as booking platforms or external tools.
• The service is provided “as is” as a managed website service.
